Tavola Derbyshire

Tavola Joyce Derbyshire passed away peacefully in Bismarck, ND, with her grandson and daughter by her side.

Tavola was born in Seattle, Washington, on March 4th, 1947, to Walter Sherle and Opal (McLain) Sherle. She was raised in Havre, Montana, with her brother and sister. In high school, she spent time with her cousins in Seattle for a time. Then returned to Havre where she met and married the love of her life, Art Derbyshire.

They traveled the world due to Art being in the military, and to this union four children were born: Arthur Joel, Michael Travis, Lori Kay, and Geni Rae.

Tavola loved her kids and grandchildren, Robert Brien & Michael Brien, and helped them out anyway she could. She also loved anything with an Asian theme, Asian-themed movies, and K-pop bands. She also loved her cat, Calico.

She is preceded in death by her sister Karen, brother Johnny, husband Art Derbyshire, son Arthur Joel Derbyshire, and daughter Geni Rae (Derbyshire) Rogers.

She is survived by her daughter Lori (Derbyshire) Brien, grandsons Robert Brien & Michael Brien, numerous nieces & nephews, her cousin Teri McGuin Beard, and her sister's son Steven Berg, whom she was excited and very glad to finally meet after all those years of wondering what happened.
