Thelma Kay (Ogden) Schulte passed away on May 29, 2025.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, June 3, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.

She was born to John J. and Ruth I. Ogden on Oct 7, 1934, and grew up in Hensler, ND. She obtained a teaching diploma and taught school for a short time. Her love for travel and National parks took her to Yellowstone for a couple summers for work, but in 1989, when she visited her son, Jon, in Arizona, she decided to stay. Thelma worked as Manager for large apartment complexes for the next 25 years and then retired. During this time, she enjoyed travel with friends and visits to family in the north. In 2016, Thelma moved back to North Dakota and into Edgewood Mandan, in Mandan, ND, where she enjoyed meeting up with old friends and making new.

Thelma had five children: Cheryl Schulte, Kevin (Nettie) Schulte, Kathy (Art) Peters, Joel Schulte, and Jon (Sherrie) Schulte; eight grandchildren: Cari Kramer, Brandon (Alyssa) Kramer, Paul Kolbo, Philip (Sarah) Kolbo, Peter (Rose) Kolbo, Ashley (Cameron) Fierro, Amanda Schulte, and Kaden (Joel Torres) Schulte; and seven great grandchildren: Colter, Brynlie, Sloane, Leif, Ryan, Appoline, and Wylie.

She has preceded two brothers: Leland (Clara) Ogden and Raymond (MaryAnn) Ogden, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

If you wish, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made on her behalf to the Hensler Cemetery account at TruCommunity Bank, PO Box 310, Washburn, ND 58577-0310.
