Thomas "Tom" Lee, 46, Hazen, passed away on August 21, 2026, surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 29, at Peace Lutheran Church, 520 Central Ave N, Hazen, ND. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, August 28, at Barbot Funeral Home, 1301 ND-49, Beulah.

Thomas was born February 4, 1980, in Hazen, North Dakota, at Hazen Memorial Hospital, to Bruce Lee and Susan (Grant) Lee. Thomas was baptized at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Hazen and later confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Hazen. He graduated from Hazen High School in 1998. Following graduation, Thomas attended Bismarck State College and worked various jobs before eventually taking over Winkler Construction in 2005.

On September 27, 2003, Thomas married the love of his life, Rhonda Winkler. Together, they were blessed with two children, Abigail Kaye and Wyatt Wayne.

Thomas enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, horseshoes, and sporting clays. He loved playing cards, especially pinochle and teaching children to play. He took great pride in his yard and trees, liked collecting antiques, and loved tinkering on different projects. Most of all, Thomas cherished spending time with his family, extended family, and friends. He also relished spending time with his neighbors, and you never knew what kind of shenanigans they would get into together.

He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge and Peace Lutheran Church where he served on several committees.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his wife of 22 years, Rhonda; daughter, Abigail “Abby”; son, Wyatt; mother, Susan Lee of Hazen; brothers, Terence of Hazen and Taylor of Phoenix, Arizona; in-laws, Arnie and Sharon Winkler of Zap, Renae (Lonnie) Neuberger of Dickinson, and Rachelle (Mike) Anderson of Hazen; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; goddaughter, Emerson Clute; and countless friends and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Lee; grandparents, Oliver and Bernice Lee and Kenny and Alma Grant; uncle and godfather, Tim Grant; and numerous other aunts and uncles.
