Today we bury a father, a husband, a grandfather, a son, an uncle, and a loyal friend.
Tim Schiermeister went peacefully into God’s hands on January 15, 2026. A memorial service will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Burial will be held 3 p.m. at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
A prayer service will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck. Following the prayer service, the family invites you to join them for a continued time of sharing memories until 8 p.m.
His greatest achievements in life were being a father to his four beautiful children: Kristy Feist, Billie (Matt) Meyers, David (Cheyenne) Schiermeister, and Katelyn Schiermeister; a husband of 34 years to Carla; and earning the title of “Papa” and “Grandpa” to Brady, Ryder, Adym, Mya, Aspyn, Lexi, Koe, and Aesha.
He was the son of George and Dora Jean Schiermeister and brother to Bev, Steve, Bonnie, and Rodney. He was an uncle to many nephews and nieces, and a loyal friend to those who knew him.
Tim was raised on the family farm west of Hazelton, ND. He attended school in Hazelton. Tim finished his schooling with a welding degree from Bismarck Junior College. He enlisted and served in the ND Army National Guard based out of Linton, ND.
He was blessed to share the trials and triumphs of farming and ranching with his father and family members well into his adult life. Throughout the remainder of his working career, Tim was a semi driver and heavy equipment operator, eventually retiring after years of dedicated service with the City of Bismarck.
Tim was a quiet man with a heart full of love. He enjoyed the simple things in life. Hunting for that “trophy buck,” fishing, and a great ride on his Harley Davidson. Most importantly, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and wonderful friends.
May Tim be forever cherished in our hearts and our memories so we may experience joy, comfort, and heartfelt smiles.
