Todd Thilmony

Todd Eugene Thilmony, age 59, died on June 17th, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, June 25 at New Life Church, 1320 Tacoma Ave, Bismarck with burial to follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. 

Todd Thilmony, long time resident of the Bismarck-Mandan community was born on July 31st, 1964, to Eugene and Janice (Ludwig) Thilmony in Valley City, ND. He attended school in Valley City, Velva, Linton, and his senior year in Mandan, graduating in 1983. He attended Bismarck State College and received his associate’s degree in Hotel Restaurant Management in 1988. He also graduated from Heating and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in 1992 at Bismarck State College. He was a proud member of the North Dakota Army National Guard, gladly serving his country from 1984 until he was honorably discharged on August 18th, 2003. He greatly enjoyed working with and cooking for his fellow soldiers.

Todd worked in construction, auto parts, food service, and spent 15 years in the sheet metal trade. He was also a cook at Edgewood Vista where he took pleasure in cooking for the elderly and working with his coworkers. Todd’s hobbies included riding his Harley Davidson and cruising around in his 2009 Ford Mustang. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and he greatly enjoyed socializing with friends. 

Todd is survived by his brother, Shawn Thilmony; sister, Rhonda Thilmony; good friends, Scot Steingrueber and Kenneth J. Wald; and many other good friends he met throughout the years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents.
