Wayne Lindteigen's Obituary

Wayne L. Lindteigen, age 88, of Bismarck, ND, died Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., April 13, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, ND. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Research.

Wayne was born December 9, 1937, to Theodore Oliver and Marie Rose (Presser) Lindteigen in Peoria, IL.

Wayne served his country with the U.S. Army.

Wayne married Shyrll G. Borgen on July 31, 1958, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Benedict, ND.

Wayne was an electrician working for several businesses. Wayne also was a carpenter, building several homes. He was very creative in anything he did and built a solar heating system for his home and pool. He had his private pilots license and even built a plane.

Wayne enjoyed being creative in his shop and visiting with his family and friends. He loved his St. Bernard’s, airplanes, the wildlife in the yard, and sitting in the sunshine in the summer enjoying the peace and beauty of his yard.

Wayne is survived by three children, Jolene “Jo” (David) Klein of Lake Crystal, MN, Lonnie Lindteigen and Jerri (Rick) Hojian all of Bismarck, ND; eight grandchildren, Jordan Klein, Kylan (Jess) Klein, Heather (Matt) Blachowiak, Justin (Gretchen) Lindteigen, Ryan Lindteigen, Joshua Begley, Danielle Begley, and Jessalyn Begley; seventeen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shyrll on April 13, 2025; daughter-in-law, Laurie Lindteigen; two sisters, Shirley Skar and Donna Grabinger; and brother, Carvelle Lindteigen.
