William "Bill" Stradinger

William "Bill" Keith Stradinger, 72, of Bismarck, died on February 14th, 2024, peacefully in the comfort of his home. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Parkway Funeral Service.

Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck. 

Bill was born in Dickinson on December 29th, 1951, to Harold & Geneva (Kadrmas) Stradinger. He attended school in Dickinson until the age of 12. He graduated from Bismarck High School, furthered his studies at Bismarck Junior College and graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Zoology. 

After college, Bill worked as a curator at the Dakota Zoo from 1968 to 1976, where he enriched the lives of both animals and visitors with his love for zoology. Transitioning to a new chapter, he then managed the office at Sioux Sporting Goods from 1976 to 1979 before embarking on a memorable career at UPS until his well-deserved retirement.

Bill found joy in various hobbies. His fascination with nature was endless; from rock tumbling to creating beautiful pendants with the polished rocks, he immersed himself in the wonders of the natural world. Bird watching, hunting, and fishing were among his favorite pastimes. Bill also loved gardening, making homemade salsa and jams. 

Bill's personality shone through in every interaction. His knack for comedy brought smiles to countless face. He will be remembered for his hilarious sense of humor and dedicated love for his friends and family.  

Bill is survived by his daughter, Kristen Stradinger, MN; grandson, Deymon Schauer, MN; brother, Dave (Sheryl), Bismarck; and his niece, Heather.

He is reunited in spirit with his parents; daughter, Sarah; and niece, Nicole.

In honoring Bill's memory, let us carry forward his legacy of laughter and joy. Though he may have left this world, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest easy, Bill - your laughter will echo through eternity.
