Zane Joel Kraft, 24, passed away August 3, 2025. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, August 8, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 106 Osage Avenue, Bismarck. A prayer service will immediately follow the visitation.

Zane was born May 19, 2001, in Bismarck to Joel and Brenda (Owen) Kraft. He attended Will-Moore Elementary School, Wachter Middle School, and graduated from Bismarck High School in 2019. Two weeks after graduating he started working at Northwest Contracting where he was employed until he passed.
Zane married the love of his life, September Young, on September 28, 2024. Zane was overjoyed at the birth of his son, Onyx, on September 5, 2022. Onyx brought him much joy. Zane was an extremely proud father, and he loved his family very much.
Zane was active in Boy Scouts while growing up as well as the youth group at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where he participated in multiple Mission trips. Zane enjoyed fishing and spent many hours exploring unknown roads with his grandpa Jim Owen. Zane loved music and enjoyed attending music festivals with September, his dad, and Lydia. Zane loved camping and hiking. He had many special memories of back-country hiking with his mom and stepfather, Ron Malard. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and his long-board.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Malard; and his grandfathers, Jim Owen and Richard Kraft.
Zane is survived by his wife, September; son, Onyx; father, Joel Kraft (Lydia Arroyo); sisters, Dora Tschosik (Adam) and Sadie Kraft; brother, Joel Kraft (Mariah); grandmothers, Ellen Owen and Viola Kraft; step-father, Ron Malard; mother-in-law, April Young; father-in-law, Bryce Young; brother-in-law, Bryce Young, Jr.; sister-in-law, Faith Young; numerous nieces and nephews, and a large extended family and group of friends.
Zane was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
