Chrys Leintz

Chrys Leintz, 38, of Andover, MN, formerly of Mandan, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, 801 1st St SE, Mandan, ND.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30^th, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a vigil/rosary service will begin at 7:00 pm.

Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Chrys was born March 18, 1981 in Dickinson, ND to Donna Volk-Weigel and Steven Leintz.  At the age of five, the family moved to Bismarck.  Chrys attended his early grade school years in Bismarck, before moving to Mandan, where he attended school and graduated from Mandan High School in 1999.  In his younger years, he was involved in soccer and he wrestled through high school.  Following graduation, he attended North Dakota State School of Science, where he earned his welding certificate.  He went to work for the Boiler Makers and was currently employed with H2O Innovations in Minneapolis. 

In 2013, Chrys met Stephanie Geier-they were one of a kind and made for each other.  To this union, they became parents to Wesley Adam Leintz on May 11, 2017. Chrys and Steph were engaged to be married and had plans to expand their little family. Chrys was an amazing father and Wesley was his pride and joy.

Chrys had a passion for motorcycles, not only riding them, but working on them too.  He was also an avid skateboarder, loved to play frisbee golf, participate in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), fish and travel.  Chrys had artistic ability and also taught himself to play the guitar.

Being a donor was very important to Chrys and his family was able to honor his wishes, therefore Chrys will live on by helping others through donation.

He is survived by his Fiancé, Stephanie Geier and their son, Wesley Adam, both of Andover, MN; parents, Donna (DuWayne) Weigel, Bismarck, Steve Leintz and his fiancé Shelly Bolish, Aurora, SD; brother, Chad Leintz and his significant other, Randi Samuelson and their children, Bailey and Brooks Leintz; sister, Cara Leintz, Mandan; step siblings, Jonica Weigel, Orange County, CA and Alex (Brittany) Weigel and their children, Mason and Ayva Weigel, all of Bismarck; maternal grandparents, Tony and Sally Volk, Bismarck and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Scott Weigel; paternal grandparents, Adam and Catherine Leintz; his aunt, Kathy Rudnick; and step-grandparents, Bernhard “Ben” and Katie Weigel.
